One of my dad’s favorite shows. For a police procedural it’s pretty good, though it certainly is formulaic. Dennis Franz makes the show so it’s a good thing he never left it. I also enjoyed Jimmy Smits and Ricky Schroeder, though Mark-Paul Gosselaar was weak. Gordon Clapp created a great character as well. And Bill Brochtrup was wonderful as the gay administrative aide (and his sexuality wasn’t that big a deal). The thing is, though, is that I can only remember the characters. I remember nothing about nothing as far as any plot goes. Just Sipowicz acting unethically constantly and lots of bare butts.
This was way too big for me to never have seen it, but I never did.
