Review: A tough episode, as we’re asked to believe that Quark and a Cardassian used to be lovers.

While we’ve seen hints of Quark’s soft side in the past (and that he really doesn’t care about the Ferengi law that women can’t wear clothes), I just can’t buy that this Cardassian woman would fall for him. We don’t get enough backstory of their coupling, so we have to take this all on faith, which is hard to do. That said, Shimmerman is excellent, as is Garak, who further develops his character’s duplicity.
