Synopsis: Sisko leads a commando team into Klingon headquarters in an attempt to expose the Changeling impersonating Gowron.

Review: A nice resolution to the Klingon war story that always felt a bit forced, but retconned nicely here to include the Dominion being behind the whole thing.

Synopsis: Odo must face his feelings for Kira when she falls in love with First Minister Shakaar, her former Resistance leader.

Review: Another episode that deals with Odo’s love for Kira. Auberjonois kills again, bringing deep pathos to a character that restricts his emotion. The scene where he trashes his own place haa special impact given how orderly Odo needs everything to be. It also cements the sort of symbiotic relationship he has with Quark.

Synopsis: After an accident in the engine room of the Defiant apparently claims the life of Benjamin Sisko, Jake lives out his life in an endless quest to locate his father.

Memory Alpha Summary: Not Nana

Review: So many people love this episode and found it emotionally resonating. It definitely felt like it was trying to reach the high of The Inner Light. And while I appreciate the themes involved, it didn’t move me even a little bit.

Synopsis: The crew becomes infected by a telepathic imprint of a culture that destroyed itself.

Memory Alpha Summary: Troi’s feeling pain right about now

Review: A fun episode for the actors, but it’s yet another where some mysterious thing affects the entire crew and someone needs to save them at the last possible second before everyone dies. Didn’t we just do this with Babel (and several other times on TNG)? This episode is much better, but it’s still tiring.

Synopsis: Odo falls for a mysterious woman who is targeted for murder.

Review: A fairly simple and unsatisfying spy story (involving characters and species we’ve never heard of before) is watchable thanks to Odo’s foray into his first relationship.

Synopsis: The matriarch of the House of Martok challenges Worf and Dax’s marriage.

Review: Ah, a nice relief from the Dominion arc.

Synopsis: Klingon Dahar Master Kor, Jadzia Dax, and Worf search for the fabled Sword of Kahless on a remote planet in the Gamma Quadrant.

Review: Kor makes his third appearance in the series (his first being in the original series) and they got the same actor to play him which is pretty awesome. They also bring back Toral, the boy who Worf spared in Redemption. I love the idea of this story, very reminiscent of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. 

Synopsis: Sisko and Kira aid Damar’s rebellion against the Dominion; Bashir discovers that Odo is infected with the disease that is threatening the Founders. (Part 5 of 9)

Memory Alpha Summary: It pours (my best guess anyway)

Review: More of a bridge episode than the last couple, this one reintroduces Gowron who wants to thrust his Batleth at the Empire one last time, Dukat predictably getting Pa-Wraithed (I would have preferred Winn outsmart him, but glad she has the upper hand), and some fairly banal despite the circumstances guerrilla warfare training by Nerys to Damar and the Cardassians.
